JAN.22,2009

I know I have not been posting but we made it home last week and are trying to settle in have alot of dr. appts. but just glad to be home he got his new teeth the other day just has to get use to them. Still not eating that great but still feeding thru the night with his stomach tube.Went to new chemo dr. in Tall. today really like him he again told us this type cancer tries to come back in the lungs so just keep us in your prayers. We Love all of you and appericate everything everyone has done for us from all the prayers, morale support and even finical support.

day 67

Today Mike has felt a little better he is ready to go home he tried to talk us in to leaving today we put him off til Monday we will see how he feels then.Me & MeMa have been packing.When we do get home we still have alot to do we have to get some bone fragements cut out of his gums to get new teeth the others do not fit because he has lost so much weight so he has not wore his denuters any in the last couple of months also with all the swelling an infection in his mouth. We also have to see the ENT dr. and he has a medical oncologist in Tallahasse we have to see when we get back so we still have alot to do before we get back to normal whatever normal is??? Well it may take us 4 or 5 days to get home we are going to travel slow in case he gets to tired to quick we love and miss you all.Keep us in your prayers.

We stayed around apt. today to let Mike rest he is really tired all the time .We can not wait for all this medication to get out of his system.It is getting so tiresome being away from home. We miss and love everyone.Keep the prayers going.

day 65

Today we went to chemo dr. was told we needed local oncoloigist close to home so we found one in Tall. fla that way they can monitor him closely and we will have one near us.He gave Mike a shot that will help his white blood count stay up for 3weeks and we will see him when we come back to Texas in March to see how the Pet scan turns out.We hope to be able to come home soon kinda playing it by ear on how he is feeling.Have alot to do when we get home have to go back to ENT dr. also have to get new dentures and have some work done on his gums so we still have a lot to do when we get home .Also talked Mike into keeping stomach tube for a couple moore weeks so will also get that removed. Keep us in your prayers, we love and miss everyone.

The chemo kicked in today Mike has started feeling bad said he felt like you do when you go to a fair and ride all the rides and they make you sick and dizzy.This stuff(chemo) is so strong and when it kicks in it kicks butt.We were so excited thinking we would be able to get stomach tube out next week now not so sure...May be when we come back in March.The radation Dr. talked to us today telling us what a hard treatment this was and he had warned us it would be a tuff road but we made it and he was pleased with how Mike is doing, said better than most he has seen after going thru this treatment.We all know why...We have God on our side and an awful lot of prayer going on.We again want to Thank everyone for all your support and prayers. We miss and love all of you.

day 62&63

2 MORE RADATION TREATMENTS LEFT!!!!!!!!!!!! WE ARE SO READY TO COME HOME...WE SEE THE RADATION DR. TOMMOROW TO SEE WHAT WE DO FRO HERE OR IN OTHERWORDS SET UP APPOINTMENT TO COME BACK OUT IN 6-8 WEEKS TO DO PET SCAN & CT TO SEE IF THE CANCER IS GONE ARE HOW MUCH IT SHRANK THE TUMOR.THEN WE SEE CHEMO DR. ON THURSDAY TO SEE WHENWE COME BACK TO SEE HIM. SO KEEP ON PRAYING FOR US WE MISS AND LOVE EVERYONE.

DAY 60&61

The last 2 days we have been out and about letting Mike get some exercise he has been up and down since chemo he gets really clammy and pale looking @ times.We are keeping him eating as much as we can if he feels he can eat something we fix it then if he can eat it fine ,if not we get stuck eating it.He also gets the shakes from the chemo,that comes and goes he also has alot of ringing in his ears but they say that also is a side effect from the chemo.We miss and love everyone.Keep us in your prayers.
